If you happen to know me or have been following me for a while, you know my strange obsession with having everything ironed. I’ve made a point to invest in a good iron BUT there are just some things an iron couldn’t get, and I couldn’t really pack it when I travelled (and I have ruined a few things with hotel irons)
I’ve recently become the proud owner of a portable steamer, the Rowenta X-cel steam brush, and you guys it’s LUV.
I really wanted a steamer for quite a while because I needed something to iron the curtains and my delicate dresses with, and since we are planning to update our couches to ones with slip covers, I knew it was a must. There was a debate for going to a full size one, but I wanted something I could take around the house easily and something that would easily fit into the suitcase for travel. I’m happy to say that the X-cel steam brush has satisfied all my needs.
The electric steam pump allows for steam output as powerful as a full size steamer, it’s pretty awesome how powerful this small thing is. The water reserve lasts quite a long time so you don’t have to keep refilling it. I also love how fast it heats up, 45 seconds and it’s ready to go. And YAY for the auto shut off function cuz #mombrain. The steamer has an option for continuous steam so you don’t have to hold the button with your finger for the steam to come out.
I also absolutely love how small, light, and portable it is. I brought it with us to the Dominican Republic and it really didn’t take up that much space in my suitcase at all (and you know I always overpack, haha). It was really nice knowing I won’t ruin any clothes with those horrible hotel irons or won’t have to mess around with the awkward ironing boards. I love that the steamer removes odours from clothes and sanitizes, that’s very important to me when travelling because there is obviously no opportunity to do laundry.
It comes with three attachments – fabric brush, steam bonnet, and lint pad so you can use it on different types of fabric.
All in all, I am so in LOVE and if I didn’t have it already it would definitely be on my Wish List.
I would be delighted to answer any questions about the steamer so don’t be afraid to pop me a message.
XOXO
