Have you ever had your kids beat you at anything?
Since Vancouver is one of the rainiest cities in the world, spending a lot of time indoors with the kids gets a little crazy so I’ve had to think up a lot of rainy day activities. From an early age both our girls took a very big interest in colouring, we have every single colouring book under the sun and every single kind/colour of crayon, felt etc. available.
Recently, on another gloomy Raincouver day we were sitting around the table and colouring together. When I looked up to size my “competition” I realized that Ava is INCREDIBLY good at it. Let me start by stating that she is only 4 years old but she is so good at picking the right colours and always being very meticulous about staying in the lines.
I was never really good at colouring as a kid, so it makes my mom heart burst when I see her being so patient at it. The student CLEEEEARLY surpassed the Master.
We have so much fun with these little colouring sessions with the kids and it’s such a great bonding opportunity as well as helping their development. We get into cozy clothes and set out some snacks to make the best experience, our favourite snack is The Laughing Cow Cheese. We love eating it straight out of the package or making little sandwiches with rice crackers. The Laughing Cow has been MY favourite since I was a kid, so it’s special to me to be able to make these family memories with my girls while sharing my, and now also their, favourite snack.
I am so excited to share with you guys that Laughing Cow is running an exciting contest called “Share a Wedge of Happiness”. It’s super easy to enter and there are a lot of amazing prizes including a family trip to Costa Rica, a drone, a Go Pro camera and a Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 camera.
All you have to do to enter is head to http://bit.ly/2H0iudb and share a photo and story of a moment with your family/children, where The Student Surpasses the Master.
