Pretty In Pink – Shabby Chic Valentines Day Tablescape
I bring to you a touch of shabby chic, romantic inspiration for Valentines Day.
Valentines Day is coming up and everyone is buzzing with ideas on what to do and where to go and what gifts to buy. If you are a parent like me, your choice of a date might not be as broad as our childless friends. This year me and my hubby are going to outsource one child to my parents, put our youngling to bed, and set up a romantic spread. Something easy as we are usually bag ass tired at the end of the day, fondue sounds nice, YUMMMM!!
This pink, shabby chic, romantic table setup is so romantic and yet cost me not one penny. I scoured the nooks and crannies of the house for all things pink (very easy task since I have 2 girls). I am in love with soft pink and cream, it’s a little softer and more romantic than red I think. Lace and twine are one of my favourite items these days, I am so happy to use them wherever I can. The table cloth is actually an Ikea curtain believe it or not. The pink branches I saved from the Costco bouquets my husband gets me. Xoxo. (see sometimes it’s useful to be a hoarder)
I love the idea that with just a little set up Valentines Day can be quick, easy, cheap, and not stressful at ALL. These days all the holidays are so commercialized we forget to step back and REMEMBER what we are actually celebrating…..Our LOVE for one another.
Happy Valentines Day my friends š

love it! especially the bit about it be useful to be a hoarder! I’m guilty of that too. but yes, I could find some pretty bits around my house to decorate too. Thanks for the inspiration. oh.. and they say, it’s not hoarding if it’s organized….
