Last weekend we celebrated our youngest daughters first birthday.
I’m not exactly sure how it happened so fast, I totally just peed on the stick… with my FIRST, and BAM I have a one year old and a two year old.
She’s such a joyful little spirit, LOVES to eat and ADORES to be held. She’s only got two moods, LAUGH or CRY. She walks, runs, CLIMBS already (I am so in for it) and poops 5 times a day. And her sister is her BIGGEST idol EVER.
Since she is too small to want a party, we had a teeny tiny family dinner.
By teeny tiny I mean foods galore. It was a Russian Birthday Spread. Never under estimate a Russian person to make a “teeny dinner party” into the most outrageous of them feasts.
We all pitched in with making food and here is what was on our table that night:
- Shish-kabobs
- Mashed potato
- Potato salad
- Caesar salad
- Pickles
- Picked tomatoes
- Green onions
- Champagne and wine
For dessert we had a Homemade Napoleon cake made by my aunt which was to DIE for. Sophie of course ate with her bare hands, oh it was a sight to see, she was practically shaking with delight.
I picked the remainder of flowers that were left around my yard and some branches as well to put a bouquet together.
This would be a great inspiration for a fall get together or Thanksgiving dinner coming up soon (which means more great food)
