Happy Friday Everyone,
Summer is finally in full force. And with nothing but sun in the forecast I have been whipping out all the summertime recipes.
My husband is OBSESSED with guacamole, and over our time together we have tried out maybe a dozen recipes…..
Until we found THE ONE.
I found this recipe online somewhere several years back and I have no idea where exactly. So if you are the person who came up with this deliciousness, I LOVE you!!
This is the best guacamole I have EVER tasted, it beats any mexican restaurant in a SECOND.
Quick tip: I found that leaving the pit in the bowl with the guacamole can prevent it from browning as fast.
It’s a great staple for any summer get together.
Both kids are HUGE fans too.
So here goes.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 jalapeno seeded and minced (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon of coarse salt
- dash of cumin
- (optional: 1 finely chopped medium tomato)
Instructions
- Mash together all the ingredients until well mixed and there are no lumps.
- Best served immediately.
