So if you haven’t yet figured out, we are totally in LOVE with our Hive smart home, and when I thought things couldn’t get any better (or should I say SMARTER) on the Hive smart home front, they did it again. I am SO excited about a new gadget that Hive has released and I could not WAIT to get my hands on it… DRUMMMMM ROLLLL – it’s the new smart indoor camera aka Hive View. 
Now the reason I was so excited about this is because CLEARLY I am an overly paranoid person, it’s okay I come by it very honestly. I was born and raised and spent most of my life in an apartment building, SEVERAL levels above ground where no one would ever think to climb that high. Moving to a house kind of gave me anxiety. YES, I made my husband sleep with a hammer in his bedside table. Our house is relatively old so it makes wierd cracking/creaking noises all the time, that still freak me out AND if you are a parent you are familiar with the toys all of a sudden coming alive in the night. One night our jumperoo started playing and I was convinced that someone had gotten in, so naturally sent my husband on a search with the above mentioned hammer. WHERE WAS THE HIVE VIEW SMART CAMERA THEN?
As a wife of a pilot who is away frequently I am so happy about this addition to our home.
Now let me tell you a few more details about it…
Hive View was so easy to set up, I just plugged it in and set it up in the Hive app via Bluetooth. The camera starts recording when it detects motion or sound and sends you a notification. You can set up the sensitivity (such as if you want it to only pick up on humans and not pets). It monitors only when you want, and there is a privacy mode that you can easily schedule inside the Hive app. It has a 130 degree scope and comes with a choice of wall, shelf, or magnetic mount, ours just sits pretty on the mantle. And the best part of it all is how pretty it is, mine is white and champagne gold (also available in black and brushed copper). Hive View has a 1 hour battery life so If you wanted to take it with you on the go or to a different room, just unplug and enjoy the peace of mind.
