This past weekend we went searching for the perfect tree.
And we succeeded !!! It was so much fun, I must admit it is my favourite family tradition that we started.
This is the second year in a row that we cut down our own tree. Sure you don’t get the perfectly manicured tree, but it’s still such a beauty and feels so REAL. We love trucking through the mud, wishing it was snow (will that ever ever happen in Vancouver, probably NEVER).
We were the only ones at the tree farm this time since I scoped one out, way in the country. It felt truly magical. Ava ran in excitement touching every tree while Sophie was conked out for a nap after the excitement and fresh air.
After we loaded the tree up, we cozied by the fire with some hot chocolate. Ava was beside herself trying it for the first time.
Now to decorate this beast and light it up…
